PRESS RELEASE
Soccer Wars Announces Three-Year Partnership with Louisiana Soccer Association to Bring National Event Series to Louisiana
Hammond, LA —
Soccer Wars is proud to announce a new three-year partnership with Louisiana Soccer Association (LSA) to bring its nationally recognized individualized soccer festival events to the state of Louisiana.
This partnership will reintroduce Soccer Wars’ signature programming—including Player Wars, Goalie Wars, and Skill Wars—to players across Louisiana and Southern Mississippi, offering a unique, club-neutral platform where athletes sign up and compete as individuals in a high-energy, competitive, and family-friendly environment.
The annual event will be hosted at the Chappapeela Sports Park in Hammond, Louisiana, in collaboration with local and state partners committed to growing the game and enhancing the player experience for players of all levels.
“LSA is excited to bring Soccer Wars back to Louisiana in August of 2026,” said Kay Briggs, Chief Administrative Officer of Louisiana Soccer Association. “This event will provide an outstanding experience not only for our goalkeepers, but for our field players as well. We invite all players from Louisiana and Southern Mississippi to join us for this competitive, high-energy, and fun event.”
Soccer Wars CEO Casey Clark expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership and the return to Louisiana:
“It has been years since I’ve helped put on events in Louisiana, and those relationships have remained strong. I’ve been lucky to work with people all over the country, and the group we have in Louisiana are some of the best—just great people who are in it for the right reasons. That’s what makes it so exciting for us to bring these events back each year to this great state.”
This partnership is made possible through the collaboration and support of key local leaders, including Carla Tate, President and CEO of the Tangipahoa Parish Convention and Visitors Bureau, Ryan Barker, Executive Director of Hammond Area Recreation District No. 1, which oversees the Chappapeela Sports Park, and Eddie Sequeira, STYSA President. Their collective support plays a vital role in bringing this event to life and creating a memorable experience for players and families.
Soccer Wars events are designed to complement traditional team environments by giving players a platform to compete, grow, and express themselves individually. With fast-paced, high-repetition gameplay that keeps players constantly involved, live leaderboards, and a festival-style atmosphere, the events create lasting memories while supporting development both on and off the field.
The Louisiana event will serve as an official national qualifying stop for Soccer Wars, with top performers earning the chance to compete at the Soccer Wars National Championship. These events are open to youth players of all levels to come out, have fun, and compete.
