Please Note: Small adjustments may be made by the Soccer Wars team throughout the weekend due to weather, field space, timing, game flow, or other event needs. The live schedule will always be the most accurate source of information.

We understand that some families may have multiple cars or additional family members attending throughout the weekend. When you check in, our team will confirm your player’s name on our registration list. Weekend Flow

Friday: Arrival, Check-In, Opening Ceremony & World Cup Social

Friday is designed to welcome families, check players in, create a national event atmosphere, and give everyone a chance to settle in before competition begins.

Friday Flow:

Check-In: 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM
Location: Main field complex entrance / Soccer Wars check-in area

At check-in, players will receive event items and important information. Families will also be directed toward staging area for opening ceremony.

Opening Ceremony: 4:45 PM – 5:15 PM
The opening ceremony will include player recognition, national event messaging, and a celebration of everyone who qualified or was invited to compete at Nationals.

National Walkout & Player Recognition

As part of our Opening Ceremony, we will be recognizing each player with a National Championship walkout.

Each player should have 1–2 people designated to walk out with them. This can be a parent, sibling, grandparent, family member, friend, or teammate.

We would love for every player to have someone walking with them as we celebrate their achievement and recognize them as part of the Soccer Wars National Championship.

For attire, please dress casually and comfortably, similar to what you would wear to a family BBQ. Keep in mind that it may be hot at the fields, so we recommend wearing something light, comfortable, and weather-appropriate.

World Cup Social / Family Gathering: Immediately following the ceremony
We will have some pizza brought in for families to enjoy during the World Cup social. This is intended to be a casual gathering, not a full dinner, but families are welcome to grab pizza while it is available and enjoy the event atmosphere.

Concession stands will also be open with food and drinks for families throughout the weekend.

Saturday: Day 1 Competition

Saturday will be the first full day of competition for both Player Wars and Goalie Wars.

Player Wars check-in will begin at 8:15 AM for all Player Wars participants. Goalkeepers who checked in on Friday do not need to check in again on Saturday. They should simply be ready to play and check in with the referee at their assigned field at least 5 minutes before their scheduled game time.

Players should arrive prepared, check the live schedule regularly, and listen for loudspeaker announcements throughout the day.

For Goalie Wars, please note that some goalkeepers may be competing in our updated unique Goalie Wars format for the first time. On Day 1, goalkeepers will play round-robin games within their age group. Once round-robin play is completed and standings are updated, lower-seeded goalkeepers will play in Wild Card Round games to determine who advances and what seed they will receive moving into Day 2.

Not all Goalie Wars participants will advance to Day 2 competition. Only the top goalkeepers in each age group, along with those who earn their way through the Wild Card Round, will move on.

Skill Wars will also be available on Saturday. Players can come try the Skill Wars stations in between their scheduled games when they have downtime.

This email will include updates for:

Player Wars schedules and standings

Any important event updates or reminders

Sunday: Day 2 Competition, Playoffs, Finals & Awards

Sunday will include continued Player Wars games, Goalie Wars playoff rounds, Skill Wars awards, championship moments, and final recognition.

Goalie Wars will move into Playoff, Semifinal, and or Final rounds based on age group standings and participation numbers.

Player Wars will continue toward the Showcase Final and overall individual awards.

Skill Wars winners will be recognized on Day 2.

Awards will be handed out as age groups get done!

For travel purposes - We plan to have finals games and awards done by the following times per program.

  • Goalie Wars: 3:00 PM

  • Player Wars: 3:00 PM

How Player Wars Works

Player Wars is an individual competition for field players, but the scoring is based on how your team performs in each game.

Players will rotate teammates and opponents throughout the event. This allows players to compete with and against different players while earning individual points from every game that they play.

Player Wars Points

Player Wars points are driven by:

Game result
 Team goals scored
 Goals against / shutouts
 Sportsmanship points

Very Important: Player Wars is not based on who personally scores the goals.

It does not matter who scores the goals on your team. If your team does well, you do well.

The goal is simple: help your team win, help your team perform, and be a positive part of the game. Player Wars rewards overall impact, not just scoring goals.

Top players will advance to the Showcase Final. The winning Showcase team will be crowned, and the Top Overall Individual Player will also be recognized.

How Goalie Wars Works

Goalie Wars is a 1v1 goalkeeper competition. Give up less goals in a game, you win.

Day 1: Group Stage / Round Robin

All goalkeepers will compete in group play within their age group. Results from Day 1 will help determine standings and advancement into next round robin rounds and semis/finals.

Advancement

Top seeds will advance to the Day 2 Playoff Round.
Lower seeds may enter the Wild Card Round on Day 1.
Top Wild Card players can advance into the Day 2 Playoff Round. Depending on bracket size multiple Wild Card players may move on to the playoff round on day 2.

Day 2: Playoffs, Semifinals & Finals

Day 2 will include the Goalie Wars playoff structure, including playoff rounds, semifinals, and finals. Winners will be crowned in each age group.

Skill Wars

Register Here

Skill Wars will be available on Saturday between scheduled games.

Players are encouraged to come try the Skill Wars stations when they have downtime in their schedule. Skill Wars is a fun way to compete, test your ability, and stay involved between games.

Top Skill Wars players in each age bracket will be crowned on Day 2.

National Store, Certificates & Event Items

National Championship t-shirts will be available at the Soccer Wars Team store.

All national participants will also receive a national certificate. Certificates will be located at the Soccer Wars store area.

Please stop by the store during the weekend to pick up certificates, check out national merchandise, and ask our staff any event questions.

Hydration, Food & Concessions

Hydration stations with electrolytes will be available for players during the competition.

We still highly recommend that every player brings their own water bottle and stays on top of hydration throughout the weekend.

Concession stands will be open with food and drinks for the whole family starting Friday and continuing through Sunday.

Communication During the Event

Most event communication will happen through:

Loudspeaker announcements
 Live online schedules
 Event emails
 Phone updates when needed
Soccer Wars staff at the Admin Area

Please listen carefully to announcements throughout the event and check your phone regularly for updates.

Please do not screenshot schedules. Screenshots may become outdated. All schedule changes will be made on the live schedule only.

National Championship Video Review Policy

For the Soccer Wars National Championship only, Soccer Wars will offer a limited video review opportunity for goal-scoring situations and score-related concerns.

Video review may only be requested for:

Whether a goal was scored
 Whether a goal should count
Confirming or correcting the score of the game

Video review will not be used for referee judgment calls such as fouls, contact, goalkeeper challenges, handballs, restarts, time on the clock, or other referee discretion calls.

All review requests must be made immediately after the game and before the final score is officially turned in by the referees.

To request a review, the family must notify the referee immediately and clearly explain what goal-scoring situation or score concern they want reviewed.

Families must provide their own video footage from their own device immediately on-site. A second official assigned to video review will review the footage at the Admin Tent area or another designated review space away from families, players, coaches, and other participants.

For a call to be overturned, the video evidence must be clear, complete, and fully visible. If the video does not clearly show the full situation or leaves any doubt, the referee’s call on the field will stand.

Once the review is complete, the final ruling will be written on the back of the game card and turned in to the Soccer Wars Admin Team. Once a final ruling has been made, no further protests or review requests will be allowed.

Community Expectations

We are excited to host families from across the country and create a safe, fun, competitive environment for all players.

We ask every family to help us protect the culture of this event.

Please be kind.
 Please support the referees.
Please remember that this is a game.
This is not the World Cup.
Parents, please be the standard that helps your kids handle the emotions of a national event.

Our referees are human, and we support them. We ask that you do the same.

Soccer Wars was built to be competitive, but also positive, family-centered, and fun. Whether your player wins or loses, please help us keep the environment encouraging for all players and families.

Give more than you take from the event. Help build the Soccer Wars community with us.

Final Reminder

Congratulations again on making it to the Soccer Wars National Championship.

We are excited to welcome your family, celebrate your player, and create a memorable national event experience.

Please review the field map, check the live schedule often, listen for announcements, and visit the Soccer Wars Admin Area if you have questions throughout the weekend.
